Superior
Tool's CEO Rides in the 2nd Annual Motorcycle Miracle Mission
On Friday August 14, nine
motorcycle riders traveled from Oak Brook, Illinois to La Crosse,
Wisconsin on a mission to help sick and injured kids at the Gundersen
Lutheran Children’s Hospital. Ace’s miracle riders consisted of
corporate team members, vendor partners and retailers. They raised over
$35,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. The Children’s Miracle
Network aims to generate funds and awareness programs for local
community hospitals.
During
the three day journey, the riders were able to visit select Ace stores.
Because of their great efforts, they were greeted with great enthusiasm
and encouragement by fellow Ace family members.
Once
arriving at the hospital the riders were welcomed by joyful patients and
families when a check for $5,000 was presented to the hospital’s
foundation. The miracle riders had the opportunity to talk with
supporters and hear their stories. Joe Furlane, an Ace buyer, was even
featured on the local news.
The Ace Foundation thanks
the following riders who raised an incredible amount of money during
their fundraising efforts:
Frank Allemana, Phil Barney, John Brunson, Ron Burke, Joe Furlane, Ira
Kozak, Gary Lesser, Dale Schmidt and Superior Tool's Jeff White.

7th Annual
United Way Kick-Off Lunch
We
kicked off our United Way
Annual Campaign this month and enjoyed another great lunch with our
neighbors, suppliers, SAW clients/families, family and friends!
We enjoyed a lunch of fried chicken,
peppers and sausage, meatballs and salads as well as many tasty desserts.
Thank you to all who attended and made
this a great day. We raised over $2,100 dollars for United Way.
SAW
is
Solutions at Work, the work-oriented initiative partnered with the Cuyahoga County Board of
MR/DD.
Thanks to all who made this day happen:
-
All those who donated door prizes and items for the raffles
-
The staff at United Way
-
The Superior Tool Company employees who cleaned, set up and tore down
-
Those who baked and/or donated deserts
Special
thanks go to our own Gina Sopko who again ran the event so well, and year
after year has managed the planning and coordination between Superior Tool,
United Way and SAW. Thank you, Gina!
And, we are
working on a lot of other products for the professional, the DIYer and the
homeowner. So keep watching.
